Wasteland Management through some Physical and Social factors

Wastelands Management are gaining increasing importance in almost all countries of the World specially the developing country like India,South Asian countries , where population pressure increases day by day, that increases the uncertainty of food security & development. Wastelands are such marginal lands and the reclamation of which under various uses will depend on careful evaluation of their limitation & characteristics. This book would be relevant for local needy people, researcher, students, NGO, Planning Commission, DRDA, District Planning Commission, NABARD, and Wasteland Reclamation Board. Wastelands are scatter& distributed all over this study area& suffer from various angles such as soil erosion, stoniness, water table depth etc. either by natural process or by human interference. This research work is purely field-based and it was sponsored by the UGC, New Delhi, India. Author of this book is specialized in the fields of geomorphology, waste land management, Terrain evaluation etc. It will contribute in a modest way to the ongoing problem of wasteland management.
