Value Engineering Practices in Qatar at Infrastructure projects

This book examines the effectiveness of Value Engineering practices in Qatar for infrastructure projects. Like other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Qatar¿s economy has been negatively affected due to dip in oil prices. Lower oil prices, increasing expectations of clients and great competition has made essential for the construction industry to adopt value engineering techniques in order to provide the best value of money to the end users. Despite the many benefits of Value Engineering implementation, it is not widely used in Qatar. This project¿s overall aim is to insight into current Value engineering practices to know the effectiveness of VE on infrastructure projects in Qatar and subsequently make some recommendations on how this can be improved.
