Urban parks of Islamic cities

The aim of the present study is to investigate the major parks distribution in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, using Google earth program. Another goal of the study is to determine the similarities and differences in design concept and elements of six major parks, by utilizing field observations and analysis approach.The book is containing three chapters, as following:1- The first one provides a brief background about the Islamic gardens design. Its concept, main elements and providing some examples of Islamic world gardens.2- The second is a case study about modern urban parks distribution of Ankara, the capital of Turkey.3- The third introduces a comparative study between six major parks of Ankara.
