Training model for pMOOC-based EPT

This edition aimed to demonstrate the development of an online, open and massive training model capable of combining theory and practice in promoting learning in professional and technological education. The methodology used to identify the main strategies, approaches and instruments used in the MOOCs was the systematic literature review. Action research was adopted during the development of the training model and the creation of the MOOC. To this end, the analysis of the opinions, performance and experiences of the students were observed in the qualitative and quantitative scope. The research subjects are teachers and students from the Integrated High School to the IT Technician at IFSERTÃO, Salgueiro campus. Based on the elaborated training model, the pMOOC Information Security - combining theory and practice - was created and applied. The students perceived a great acceptance of the online training model with emphasis on practice. The improvement in the performance of the students indicates that there was learning in computing and, in this sense, this experience presents itself with the possibility of being applied in the most diverse areas of professional and technological teaching.
