The Dynamics of Humanitarian Gestures in the Settlement of Central African Refugees in the East Region of Cameroon

Within the 21st century, Cameron has faced acute humanitarian crises, mostly in the East, Far North, North and South West Regions of Cameroon. With the case of the East Region of Cameroon, there have been an annual yearly influx of 129.293 refugees from Central African Republic, indexed by UNHCR, giving an annual percentage of 55%. In respond to this, Humanitarian Assistance has been used as a tool in resolving the plights of refugees and rendering them autonomous, with the primary aim of rolling back the acute dependency ratio of refugees on Humanitarian Aid. This Historical chronicle handles measures taken by the UN-refugee organ in the settlement of refugees from Central African Republic within the East Region of Cameroon. The first part, takes a look at background of the study. The second, looks at the legal norms, binding refugee status. Chapter three examines the different paradigms of refugees-resettling scheme. The fourth looked at the problems faced by the refugees and the impact of resettlement (settlement) of the refugees within the East Region of Cameroon.
