THE DISCOURSE ON PRAGMATIC EDUCATION IN AFRICA

The issue of poor skills in African societies has become a serious problem in various sectors. This is the problem which hinders development in Africa and needs urgent solutions. The problem of un-skilled workers in Africa is accelerated by different factors, but the primary factor is in line with poor education system which lacks pragmatic principles and skills. Provision of pragmatic skills in education can helps to solve problems like poverty, poor skilled (un-qualified) workers, poor infrastructures, environmental pollution and other related problems. Africa is striving to achieve global standards for development. Therefore, African states need to reshuffle its education and production system by improving skills of workers. The problem of un-skilled workers needs to be solved through pragmatic education system, which creates workers who are equipped with pragmatic skills. The content of the book is designed to create awareness to the people and help to advance people¿s skills by changing the irrelevant theoretical mindset of education as we need both, relevant theoretical and practical education as a solution to the problem of un-skilled personnel¿s in Africa.
