The book a step-by-step introduction to the art and craft of dictionary-making from the point of view of a lexicographer and dictionary user: what types of dictionaries there are, who uses dictionaries and what users look up, what a dictionary consists of, what are the elements of the word-list, which elements a dictionary entry has, what types of specialized dictionaries there are, what are terminological dictionaries and how corpora are used in lexicography.
