Technical and Scientific Knowledge for Work in Immunisation

The aim of this study is to encourage reflection within the nursing team on the importance of technical and scientific knowledge for working in the national immunisation programme, with a view to continuing education for employees. The methodology used to construct the study was problematisation through the Charles Maguerez Arc, using the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Virtual Health Library-BVS and Google Scholar. The immunisation programme aims to provide vaccination coverage for the population with the main objective of eradicating vaccine-preventable diseases. However, in order for the programme to be successful, the team must carry out its duties in an integrated manner and comply with all the resolutions governing the nursing profession, paying attention to the correct sizing of nursing workers, continuing education and nursing supervision.
