Taxation Management: Problems and Prospects

The study of Taxation occupies a central place in the public economics and of fiscal policies of government. Hence, its due management requires special focus.The research was carried out with the writing of the brief historical background of Federal Inland Revenue Service. This is followed by review of relevant past knowledge on the topic under the 'Literature Review'. Here, several textbooks, journals, newspapers were made use of.The methodology employed was discussed and analyzed using simple percentages and chi-square analyzes and results showed that there is need for improvement in the management of tax to make it more effective and efficient.Finally, at the end of the project, summary of findings was written and also conclusion drawn and recommendations were offered on how to achieve sustainable and effective Tax Management in Tax system.
