Tableting Characteristics of Herbs with a Natural Sedative Effect

The present study is directed towards the preparation of stable polyherbal tablet formulation by using crude drugs of selected medicinal plants. As the highest percentage of the worlds population has been suffering from insomnia (the main reason for aging) in which one of the main reason was anxiety, but the allopathic formulations available in the market like barbiturates and benzodiazepines, which having habit-forming and a lot of side effects and interactions with alcohol and other drugs, there is very much necessary to formulate a formulation which is almost safe and potent without habitual forming nature. Many allopathic formulations are available for sedative and anti-anxiety activity, but they will cause severe side effects and habitual forming, so a formulation that is pharmacologically active and with minimal side effects or without side effects unlike the allopathic drugs, which is possible only by herbs.
