T-MEC AND INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC LAW

It is very interesting to talk about the Mexico, United States and Canada Agreement (T-MEC), which was drawn up in 2018 and updates the previous North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) of 1994. The circumstances surrounding the T-MEC are very well known. Outgoing Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto signed it in a hurry in 2018. Since his six-year constitutional term was coming to an end, the T-MEC was signed in haste by outgoing Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto in 2018. The other two leaders, Donald Trump and Justin Trudeau, are being voted in as leaders of their countries and are just now ratifying it, and the new Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador ratified it immediately.
