Systemic Dysfunctionalities in Nigeria's Education System:

This Inaugural Lecture will give direction by providing answers to the following questions: Where is Nigeria coming from? Where is she now? Where is she going to? Who is piloting the affairs of Nigerian education? Does he understand the way to go? What is the blueprint for Nigeria's educational development in the next ten years? Who will bell the cat? Do we have an educational policy? What are the impediments to the full implementation of educational policy? When shall we get to the Promised Land? Are we doing it right? Where have we gone wrong? Why the drift of Nigerian citizens to abroad for studies? Why is the Nigerian educational system not attracting international students? Why children of wealthy parents and public office holders do not attend public schools? These are fundamental questions beginning for answers. Remember, in a couple of months Nigeria will be celebrating. Sixty-one (61) years of Independence.
