A series of N-substituted [5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)pyridine-2-yl]methanimine were synthesized by condensing 5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)pyridin-2-amines with various aromatic aldehydes. The structures of these newly synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis of IR, 1H NMR and mass spectral studies.In spite of earlier identification than bacteria, fungi as causative agents of human diseases received little attention in comparison to other pathogens. In this work an attempt has been made to co-relate physicochemical properties of a series of 5-substituted (arylmethylene)pyridin-2-amine derivatives with antibacterial activities & antifungal activity. .
