Synthesis and Antibacterial Study of New Pyrazol-5-one Derivatives

Microwave-assisted organic synthesis result in a spectacular acceleration of many chemical reactions as a consequence of three-dimensional heating of the reaction mass which could not be reproduced by classical heating methods.It has been seen that microwave procedure has the advantages of short time, good yields, convenient workup and being environmentally friendly to afford the corresponding pyrazol-5-one derivatives. A simple one pot multicomponent reaction technique was utilized for the synthesis of novel biologically active heterocyclic ring. Most of nitrogen heterocycles are of a special interest because they constitute an important class of natural and non-natural products, among these nitrogen heterocycles are the benzothiazole containing compounds. Moreover, pyrazolone and aminonicotinonitrile nucleus are important pharmacophores that exhibits widespread pharmacological properties such as: antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, antioxidant, anticancer and antitubercular activities; these widespread applications bring us to the synthesis of new analogues of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and of their antibacterial evaluation.
