Study of Financial Performance of District Central Cooperative Banks

In this book author has made an attempt to examine the profitability and operating efficiency regarding saving and advances of the District Central Co-operative Banks (DCCBs) of Udaipur Region viz. Dungarpur, Banswara, Udaipur, Chittor, Bhilwada. Co-operative Banks in India started functioning almost 100 years ago. Cooperative Banking is an important constituent of the Indian financial system. It found that the CCBs are facing problems of high cost of business operations, low capital base, inadequate loan appraisal and credit planning, poor recovery performance etc. Therefore a modest attempt has been made in this section to suggest a good number of feasible ways and means in order to improve the financial strength as well as the overall efficiency in both administration and operational management and to overcome the existing deficiency and irregularities of the selected CCBs. This book will certainly helps co-operative banks administration and other financial institutions to measure and understand their profitability and financial health.
