Stress Management in Software Industry

The purpose of this book is to determine the main reasons and consequences of stress in the software professionals, and to find out the most effective ways of preventing stress. Stress has been experienced since very old times, but stress has never been harmful than it is here in the 21st century. Nowadays stress is behind more than half of all illness. Work stress is a very common organizational problem experienced by all the professionals, irrespective of these professionals nature of work. Software companies are one of such sector, which is affected immensely by this challenge (work stress), and professionals serving these software organizations are often found under very high stress. The issue of stress should be looked at in depth in the workplace. In the time of high competition, economical ups and downs, new incurable and fast spreading illnesses, people run the risk of having stress more and more frequently.
