Strategy Implementation Challenges within NGO's Sector in Kenya

Many developmental NGOs have strategic plans in place, however, they rarely consults these plans during the implementation. Implementation has become routine activities not guided by any foresight yet time and money has been spent in developing these plans that would have rather guided their work. In the end, results are not reflective of the plans and if success is achieved it is more of an accident rather than a planned result. Given the role played by NGOs especially in the least developed economies and owing to the fact that NGOs are people centred, this book explore challenges often experienced by developmental NGOs during the implementation of their strategies. The purpose of this book is to establish challenges of strategy implementation within the developmental NGOs sector in Kenya and determine the measures that can be taken to address them. The book also contains recommendations to both practicing NGOs and scholars in improving the sector performance
