Stability Analysis In Grid Connected Wind Farms

This book presents major challenges that are associated with integration of grid farms into the existing system and are system security, quality of power and stability. The concern in stability is its voltage stability. Disparate with the conventional procedures, certain wind generators supply real power addition into the grid with reactive power requirement. These changes cause voltage variations for the system and also to the end consumers. Also, the presence of power electronic components introduce harmonics into the system, which may lead to voltage instability.
