SOIL TESTING FOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERS

The author feel a great pleasure in presenting the book entitled, Soil Testing for Geotechnical Engineers to the civil engineering students and field practitioners in construction area. The content of this book have been planned in such a way that the errors in performing laboratory soil tests will be eliminated. A lot of theoretical literature is available in field of soil mechanics, yet, there is shortage of material in laboratory testing of soil. By keeping this in mind, the present volume is written in a simple and easy to follow language. At the end of each experiment, viva questions are given for the students to solve them. Great care has been taken to ensure accuracy, yet the author welcome any criticism and comments from the readers.
