Socio-Cultural Study of Gujarati Dalit Poetry

The Present book Socio-cultural Study of Gujarati Dalit Poetry is an exploration of selected Gujarati Dalit poetry. For ages, Dalits have been neglected and abandoned section of Indian society. They have been ostracized and oppressed for more than three millennia. They have also tried their best to regain their identity and rightful position in the society through social and literary movements. For last three decades, Gujarati Dalit writers have not only become active socially, politically, economically but also in writing. Poetry has been one of the prominent forms of literature in Gujarati Dalit literature. In this present book, the author has made a critical investigation of Gujarati Dalit poetry from social and cultural point of view.
