Orthodontic treatment modalities varies as per the growth status of an individual. Their are numerous interceptive orthodontic procedures which can be undertaken during growth. Determination of the growth status of an individual thus becomes an important aspect. Growth is determined by chronological age, physical age, skeletal age and dental age. The most important growth determination is the skeletal age. Literature is full of articles of various methods of skeletal age determination.
