Single phase feeding in broiler birds

The book set out to compare the current feeding practice in broiler birds (double phase feeding) with a new concept of feeding (single phase feeding). Nine different diets were formulated for the new concept and and were compared with the standard which is the double phase feeding. Research findings came up with about three outstanding diets out of the nine diets for the new concept which stood out clearly in terms of birds performance. These diets came up as recommendation to farmers and feed millers who want to adopt the new concept of feeding for broiler birds. This new concept compared favourably and even better than the current feeding practice in vogue. It allows for birds to attain better market weights, there is efficiency in feed utilization reduction in feed cost and better carcass cuts were some of the outstanding features of this new feeding concept.
