Signal Theory

The signal is the support of the information emitted by a source and intended for a receiver; it is the vehicle of intelligence in systems. It conveys the orders in the control and remote-control equipment, it conveys information, speech or image on the networks. It is particularly fragile and must be handled with great care. The purpose of the processing it undergoes is to extract information, modify the message it conveys or adapt it to the means of transmission; this is where digital techniques come in. on this set of numbers, associated with storage.Various disciplines of Electrical Engineering require the use of specific mathematical notions. In physics, any quantity evolves over time in some way. It can then be represented by a function of the real variable t which represents time. However, in many cases it is preferred to characterize these functions by means of transformations of variables.This book brings together generalities on signals, a certain number of mathematical tools for the analysis of signals studied in the different chapters of the Signal Theory course.
