Shrimp Farming:

This book contains useful information about stakeholders¿ perception regarding the impact of shrimp farming on socioeconomic, agriculture and environmental conditions in the southwestern coastal region of Bangladesh. An effort has been made to identify the actual impact of shrimp farming on socioeconomic, agriculture and environmental aspects. It has been also tried to show how shrimp farming is changing income from unit area of land, education, standard of living, land tenure system, labor use pattern, land use pattern, communication, rectification, crop yield, livestock and fish population, water quality, plant biodiversity, etc. Besides, the problems faced by the shrimp and non-shrimp farmers have been identified.
