Services Sector Liberalisation: An Analysis of the Fijian Economy

Services trade has become a fast growing sector and a major catalyst for development in Fiji. This book therefore provides insights into the trade in services sector for Fiji and recommendations for Fiji to liberalise effectively in this area. It also discusses on the impacts of the mega-regionalism and trade in services liberalisation for Fiji and effective moves on negotiating trade agreements such as the Pacific Agreement on closer economic relations (PACER Plus) in the area of services and investment. An in depth study on the tourism sector and remittance impact has been also analysed in the book providing further positive impacts of services liberalisation for Fiji.
