Secondary Schools' Administrative Management & Leadership Approach

Leadership and management in schools in the Solomon Islands have become a great concern. Despite efforts made by national government and education stakeholders the problem is yet to be addressed. In this qualitative study with schools in the Honiara city of the Solomon Islands, it found that school principals have not or ignored their heads of department in leading and managing the operation of their school. HoDs are merely responsible for preparing students to pass exams. The study revealed that success of school requires the collective effort of team spirit. This book is recommended for secondary school principals and aspiring school leaders in order they have better understanding and knowledge about leading and managing schools.
