RUNNING

Running has been present in the history of mankind, from ancient times to the present day. In this historical journey, the human being has always run according to the social, cultural and historical context. This indicates that they have not always run under the same needs, interests and objectives. However, in the thinking of most people, the action of running is associated as something natural (and not cultural) in spite of the context described above.This book seeks to critically and reflectively analyze that process. How running was progressively transformed into the currentrunning, going through the origins of humanity, the Olympic Games and its roots in athletics. A process that was crossed by the interests of the market, a key factor to make running a massive and popular phenomenon today.
