Risk Management in Indian Real Estate - Lesson from China

The book is based on a survey of people who directly or closely related to the management and the real estate industry in India. After doing comparison of the previous research and the analysis of the questionnaires, four findings are identified. Firstly, the real estate is among the most impressive, dynamic industry, but one of the most high-risk, which has a bad reputation for risk. Therefore, risk management in an efficient manner is an important part of the decision making process for all real estate companies. Secondly, with the further development of real estate industry of India, the Indian real estate companies are in urgent need of a scientific risk management. Thirdly, the risks in the Indian real estate sector have their own characteristics; the Indian real estate companies must assess and integrate the technology risk, when applied to core business, according to these characteristics. Fourth, it is recommended that the Indian government, universities, insurance companies, Indian real estate companies working together to create a culture of cooperation for the development of risk management in Indian real estate sector.
