Renewable Energy-Based Scheduling Algorithms for Cloud Computing

Cloud computing has gained huge attention of technical and scientific communities. Recently, research into sustainable cloud computing has gained popularity among industries, academia, software and hardware organizations, developers and users due to the phenomenal rise in energy demand and usage. The emergence of technologies, devices and internet based distributed computing infrastructure is largely attributed to dominance of ICT technologies (ICTs). The adverse environmental impact of advancement in computing infrastructure and algorithms is therefore becomes an indispensable factor in order to promote sustainable and green computing paradigms. Research into green computing approaches for sustainable computing can significantly negate the rising harmful environmental effects while formulating futuristic algorithms, products and services. The emergence of green cloud computing (GCC) practices is directly proportional to the green datacenters growth and evolution as they form the core aspect of green cloud computing.
