REDUCTION OF OBSTETRIC COMPLICATIONS

Obstetrics has brought us invaluable joys and satisfaction, and we have also experienced the bitter taste of obstetric complications. It is a branch that needs constant updating for the well-being of patients. The following text has been elaborated after having implemented certain strategies based on scientific evidence in the daily practice of our medical profession, obtaining results that besides encouraging us have achieved benefits such as: decrease in the rate of cesarean sections, decrease in obstetric hysterectomies and maternal and neonatal complications. Also included are some basic resources on pregnancy associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19), which is currently a public health emergency and has so far been declared a pandemic by WHO.
