Number of advances in prevention pointing out that prevention of oral diseases has assumed importance in recent years. Shift in focus from treatment of oral diseases to prevention has taken place. A lot of research has been directed towards efforts to develop methods of prevention. These range from simple to highly sophisticated techniques. The recent innovative and exciting techniques have shown good research successes that most likely will be helpful for early disease intervention in the future.
