Bilingual raising has been extremely important for me because I know from my own experience of learning English and Norwegian how much effort I had to put into studying them; it required a lot of time and work. Children acquire the second language naturally and without such sustained effort. I believe that bilingual raising is the greatest gift I can give to my son.
