Quaternary Geology and Tectonogeomorphic Evolution

This book focuses on Quaternary Geology and Tectonogeomorphic evolution and insights on the interplay between surface processes and tectonics that emerge from integrative studies at Terna river basin from the South-eastern Deccan. The authors tried to develop the latest interpretation of landscapes in tectonically active environments for graduate and post-graduate level earth science students and researchers and scholars in geology. The entire book is divided into 9 chapters. Chapter 1 deals with Introduction, study area details, physiography and climate, Chapter 2 concentrates on Review of Literature on national and internal status, Chapter 3 focuses on materials and methods for present investigation and Chapter 4 is on geological aspects of the area. The Chapter 5 deals with the resource database of the study area, Chapter 6 accounts for Quaternary Geology, Chapter 7 focuses on Geomorphology, Chapter 8 demonstrates the use of Geomorphic Indices of Active Tectonics for tectonogeomorphic evolution of the Terna river and Chapter 9 is the summary and conclusion.
