Prudential regulation play in entrepreneurship

In the book is described the entire topic of banking credit risk methodology and its importance for support of entrepreneurship in Austria. At the first instance it is presented theoretical overview of credit risk methodology as of beginning including all (actual) regulatory requirements, starting with Basel II, continuing with Basel III in the sense of credit risk management, thus rating and scoring as incremental part. Second part of the work is concentrated on quantitative methodology in a form of a study. The study is focused on expert interviews with respective field experts from randomly selected Austrian banks. The goal of such study was to prove given hypothesis that credit risk methods do contribute to strengthening and growth of SME in Austria based on expert opinion and practical experience of respective banks and their experts.
