Professionalism of Graduate Schools in SUC's - Region VIII, Philippines

This study sought to find out the factors that predict the level of professionalism of the administrators, faculty and students. For the realization of this study 446 respondents from the nine State Universities and Colleges (SUC's) in Region VIII have been randomly selected to serve as respondents of the study.The descriptive method of statistics was used in this study. A set of questionnaire was used to gather the needed data. It is hypothesized that the respondents' leadership style, values orientation, internal factors and external factors of the respondents relate significantly to the level of professionalism of the respondents.The descriptive and stepwise regression analysis was employed using the Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS) computer software.The nine SUC's in Region VIII are the following:1)University of Eastern Philippines (UEP),2)Tiburcio Tancinco Memorial Institute of Science & Technology(TTMIST),3)Samar State Polytechnic College(SSPC),4)Eastern Samar State College(ESSC),5)Leyte Institute of Technology (LIT), 6)Leyte Normal University (LNU),7)Leyte State University(LSU),8)Naval Institute of Technology(NIT),and 9)Palompon Institute of Technology(PIT).
