Poor governance and insecurity in ECCAS

In the Economic Community of Central African States, ECCAS for short, insecurity and bad governance are not just a news item. It is not only the media and opposition politicians who are talking about it more, it has increased to the point of invading the entire Central African sub-region to the point of calling into question the very integration of the sub-region and of casting opprobrium on the intellectual and political elites. How do insecurity and bad governance in the sub-region play out on a daily basis? Who is responsible for the organisation and functioning of ECCAS? What is at stake? What are the remedies to fight against these threats, which also weaken the economy, trade and even the stability of the states that make up ECCAS?
