Pitfalls in Fixed Partial Denture

Failure to achieve the desired specification of design for function and aesthetics would result in declination in the success rate of the prosthesis.Pitfalls most often occurs because of violation of principles either collectively or individually. It may be either due to attempted short cuts or positive indifferences and inexcusable ignorance on the part of those concerned with building the prosthesis. In order to achieve success, meticulous attention should be paid to every detail from initial patient interviews, active treatment phase to a planned schedule of follow up. So, this text is attempt to determine a detailed case history and thorough treatment planning thereby reducing the failures in fixed partial denture.
