Perception, Experience and Gaps in Watershed Management and Evaluation

The recent Sustainable Land Management strategy adopted by the Government of Ethiopia advocates adherence to the strategies and systems of the country, harmonization of approaches and efforts among donors, result orientation, mutual accountability and local ownership so that good land management practices are scaled up and sustained, resulting in economic development, reduced poverty, and improved ecosystem functions. The aims of this work are: avail in a systematic manner standardized watershed management training materials for various target groups at different levels and design appropriate mechanisms to allow cooperation and collaboration of all key partners and beneficiaries in the preparation of training materials, training organization, and conduct of training.
