Organization Behaviour

An organization is defined as a collection of people who work together to achieve a wide variety of goals. Organizational behavior is the study of human behavior in organizational settings, how human behavior interacts with the organization & the organization itself. Although we can focus on any one of these three areas independently, we must remember that all 3 are ultimately connected & necessary for a comprehensive understanding of organizational behavior. It can help managers understand the complexity within organizations, identify problems, determine the best ways to correct them & establish whether the changes would make a significant difference. Organizational Behavior has been influenced by a number of allied disciplines like Sociology, psychology, political science, management, economics and engineering. The study of Organizational behaviour is about what an individual thinks or feels or does in and around an organization, both individual and in group. It also scrutinizes the emotions, behaviour & performances of an individual as well as the team. It helps to investigate and provide an understanding of all the factors that are necessary to create an effective organization.
