Optimization of bioparameters for lipase of a Bacterial isolate BTS-14

Biocatalytic production of chemicals, also known as ¿white technology¿ has gained much attention with in the last 30-40 years. Lipases are ubiquitous enzymes of considerable physiological significance and industrial potential.Although they have been found in many species of animals, plants, bacteria, yeast and fungi, the enzymes from micro-organisms are most interesting because of their potential applications in various industries such as food, dairy, pharmaceuticals, detergents, textile, biodiesel and cosmetic industry, in synthesis of fine chemicals, agrochemical and new polymeric materials. In this work various bioparameters were optimized like pH, Temperature, carbon, nitrogen source,reaction conditions etc. for the extracellular production of lipase enzyme from a bacterial isolate, isolated from oill mill soil.This work would be useful for the graduate, postgraduate,teachers and researchers who are working on industrial microbiology and enzymology,
