Optimization Methods in IMRT Planning

The new techniques of radiation therapy are based mainly on how to modify the intensity of radiation beam used during treatment. In this book we discuss the methods ho to do modification (optimization methods) which are used in the most planning systems and evaluate each method for different cancer cases. This book could be good reference for radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists to understand how the planning systems calculates IMRT and VMAT plans, and gives them information about the dose constraints for most of organs at risk in human body. Moreover it gives the reader a data about how to make a treatment plan starting from the delineation step to approval step.
