In India, use of different parts of several herbs to cure specific ailments has been in vogue from ancient times. The indigenous system of medicine namely Ayurveda, apart from India is prevalent in Korea, China, Singapore, West Asia and many other countries. India is a vast country where wide variation in climate, soil, altitude and latitude is available.
