Objects and Concepts from the Infant's View

Object cognition and concept formation in infancy continues to be areas of major interest in developmental psychology and related fields. Although somewhat overlapping, these two areas are often addressed separately in studies and in the literature. This book takes an integrative perspective on object individuation, object categorization and concept formation in infancy. It presents experimental studies on object individuation and concept formation in infancy and discusses the theoretical and methodological challenges to be faced when investigating infants¿ understanding of their physical and conceptual environment.
