Noise Cancellation Technique For Compact MIMO Systems

The demand for use MIMO systems in wireless communications has been increased recently due to the request of throughput, user capacity and operation reliability. At the same time, the reduced sizes these systems are more attractive for consumers¿ attention. Therefore, this results that the amount of transmitted power has a significant effect on the desired received signal power when the transmitting antennas are closely spaced to the receiving antennas. The reason is the transmitted power has a great value compared to the weak received power. A new proposed method is presented in this work to cancel or reduce the effect of the transmitted power using a feedback signal process within the transceiver MIMO unit. Several parameters including the feedback mismatch, the transmitted power, and the received power have been considered to test the performance of the system in term of the bit error rate (BER) versus signal to noise ratio (SNR).
