Most frequent pathologies and user profile

Primary health care (PHC) is a set of health actions involving the promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of the population. Knowing the profile and needs of the demand of Basic Health Units (BHUs) is one of the strategies in order to provide improvements in health. By defining the profile of users and the most prevalent diseases, it is possible to create an agenda of priorities to intervene in these problems. The study helped to better characterize the users of the UBS, providing more information, which can be used for future planning and improvement of health programs, especially in relation to the actions of food and nutrition. It was also evident the importance of the nutritionist in the PC, which plays a key role in disease prevention and control of the nutritional status of users.
