Beschreibung

Amongst inects, mosquitoes are the worst of human enemies. These inhabit all around the world and most invasive of the insects. Mosquitoes are responsible for most of the serious human vector borne disease like malaria, filariasis, dengue fever, chickungunya and Japanese encephalitis. Due to this men have developed various strategies to control insect vectors. Mosquito borne diseases are among the major causes of mortality in many tropical and subtropical countries. India is one of the malaria and dengue endemic country of the world. In the present research a survey based study was done among the residents of Jaipur city in Rajasthan. Except this a cross sectional study was conducted to collect the baseline information about the knowledge, attitude and practies (KAP) among the residents of urban and sub urban areas of Jaipur city regarding mosquitoes and disease spread by them.

Climatic attributes have been associated with relative mosquito abundance and transmission of mosquito born infection in many parts of the world, especially in warm and tropical climatic regions.

In addition, knowledge of larval population density and frequency in breeding habitats are critical when considering the control of mosquito-borne diseases. To control mosquito population one of the available method is the use of insecticides Repeated use of synthetic insecticides for mosquito control has disrupted natural biological control system.
