Modelling and Analysis of Graduate Unemployment

The economic outlook of Africa is bright. Six of the past decade¿s fastest-growing economies were in sub-Saharan Africa. Foreign direct investment was up, inflation slowed, and remittances were at record levels. Will this growth be sustained? Africäs youth population is growing rapidly. Better education is being provided. A recent World Bank report estimates that as many as 11 million young people in Sub-Saharan Africa will be joining the job market every year for the next decade. This o¿ers an unraveled opportunity for economic and social development, if the talents of this swiftly increasing reservoir of human capital, can be harnessed and channeled towards the productive sectors of the economy. Although many national strategic actions have been designed and executed to alleviate the problem, there are growing concerns about the escalating number of unemployed graduates in the market over the past few years.
