This book provides a practical understanding of microeconomics for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This book gives a glimpse of what microeconomics is.The book includes nine Chapters.Chapter 1, is an introductory chapter on economics. It explains on factors of production, the production possibility curve and some key economics term. Chapter 2,explains about the demand and supply curve, and the market process. Chapter 3, covers demand and consumer choice. Chapter 4, describes about the demand and supply of public sector, and this is followed by elasticity of demand and supply in chapter 5. Subsequently, Chapter 6, elaborates on costs and supply of goods. Chapter 7, discusses about price takers and competitive process. Chapter 8, covers price searchers market with low entry barriers and the last chapter, chapter 9, discusses on price searchers market and high entry barriers. The book also provides several examples to illustrate the concepts and key points presented. Exercises are provided for every chapter. We believe this book would provide adequate knowledge in microeconomics. Hence, it is concise and simple.
