METHOD NOTES AND TEST CONSTRUCTION

With a view to putting the right man in the right place for better performance in the workplace, psychological tests are used to highlight an individual's aptitudes and abilities, as well as to observe their behavior and identify their personality characteristics. When a person applies for a job, we want to know if he or she is suitable for the position. And since you can't get to know someone a priori simply by meeting them and talking to them, tests are often used to bring out what's hidden. Psychological tests are therefore often used in professional selection. A recruiting company is like a jigsaw puzzle looking for its missing piece. Not just any piece will do. Similarly, when you're looking for a candidate, you first need to define in advance the abilities he or she must demonstrate and the very valuable qualities he or she must possess. This module covers two parts: the first focuses on test methods, the second on test construction.
