Media and Privacy-opposing sides of the same coin

Life has become so complicated and commercialized in today 's times that many times an individual is made to forego his privacy for the sake of the common good. Media has given this false image of itself. Today media no more stands for the society at large . It is in the hands of giant corp orates who use this power for changing the course of direction of a nation and the way the readers think and decide. Privacy has long being compromised in this area. Privacy is an individual's primary inalienable human right without which his very existence and identity is at stake . Governments can never substitute this individual right with collective right . The individuality needs to be respected more than the collective right. Many democratic nations think media is more important than the individual but they fail to understand that there can be no nation without individuals and there protection is the foremost and media comes only next to it. There needs to be a shift in the legislative thinking of democratic nations .
